When I got my remap and full decat it improved the MPG by quite a bit. The engine is generally less stressed and the map runs a little leaner in most places (I think). Obviously if you use all that power all the time then your mpg will suck but you get the idea

looking nice peccy, i've got similar engine mods but just an ITG panel filter, i'm at PE in a couple of weeks with some other owners, will see how my car compares with same mods and no induction kit.

BTW, what induction kit you got, i've been thinking about it but worried about MAF and hot air problems, especially with summer on the way.

You got Samcos on too by any chance?

Hehe

I think you need to read Taron's post twice for it to make any sense. I think the estate hes is referring to is 'Nitos' one (whoever that is). With 350bhp. Not the P1 that his 'Dad' has got. But he does finish by saying that 'a 2000 or whatever would be as quick or handle like a P1' which compeltely contradicts the first line of the post.

Whatever. Why was this post dug up from 6 weeks ago anyway?

Peccy's got a blitz nur spec zorst and k+n induction kit.

UHF

Hes got a k+n and has had no problems. Ive recently fitted a k+n and had no problems either. Sounds real good to. Everytime i change it sounds like a dump valve for some reason.

akshay67, not been up against a P1 head to head yet but with with more power and torque in a lighter car i reckon it makes sense, and had a quick blast with a sti5 last night and i was pulling away slightly.

also with the money ive saved got a fair bit left to improve the braking (AP 6 pots ) and handling

Careful peccy, don't go making accusations like that unless you can prove them

And surely by changing the exhaust on a P1 would get us up to 284bhp as well

P1 owner.
