think you need to ask the "right" people as some of those prices are not as cost effective as they could be..................

so ive had another great quote for a build using all new parts, i was also given the option of upgrading various parts like rods (i was given 4 different options). the engine will take 550bhp perhaps more dependant upon which rods etc i choose. the quote was from alyn @ as performance, truly a top guy and response was double quick time with everything explained fully.

he is the 2nd tuner to say that around 500bhp would be ok with extreme 11mm head-studs but for further future-proofing the 14mm is the way to go.

so now i have a real problem...........who do i use?

tuner A is fekking miles away BUT does everything i need including ecu so supply/build/map all in one place, build would be re-using my block/pistons/crank.

tuner B is on my doorstep and does everything i need apart from the ecu i want, the build is a brand new build.

tuner C is build only using all new parts (no mapping or fitting) just supply engine only

all of them have been more than helpful and there isnt a great deal in prices so it doesnt really come down to that.

which would you guys choose?

choices choices.....................

Not for the power you're wanting to run.

not sure on the warranty. I would live to use thwaites BUT he doesn't do the ecu that I would like. I am there on Friday so I will speak with him to see if he would fit and map the ecu I want if I supplied it.

I have 0 issues with thwaites and trust them completely but I've made my mind up on what I want so hopefully we can cut a deal.
