It’s what Jesus says it is. The above is pithy, but lacks substance and understanding.

So Jesus is to be taken literally at all times and there is no possibility that his words could have been meant in any other way? OK.

I’ve not said that. Jesus often talked in parables. Read Mark 4.

“Whoever has ears to hear, let them hear.”

Looks like parts of Europe seem to have the right idea on this.

^^^ I see the Burqa and Niqab as 100% subjugation of women and would fully support a ban here - I really don't understand why a woman would subject herself to this form of dress? it completely baffles me.

Especially as this picture of the Bin Laden family in 1970 shows how it used to be in the Middle East and how they seemed to have rapidly moved backwards into the Stone Age in the space of about 40 years is incredible...

However on a ligher note this made me chuckle - US Preacher asks for his 4th $54m falcon X Private Jet saying god wishes him to have it :

It's hard to see the rest of what Douglas Murray writes as in principle unbiased, on the basis of form like this.

Fair enough, I missed that. Will re-read both articles.

ETA: Yes, I agree that Murray misquoted The Secret Barrister.

I'm pretty sure that Secret Barrister's blog did originally say "****-themed march" - it appears he has since edited it. In fact it was this description of the march that made me think that SB's blog was not unbiased, along with his reference to Robinson's "knuckle dragging cheerleaders".

The problem though is that a lot of them are. Obviously, he can't pick and choose who decides to support him, but it's an unfortunate fact that he does seem to attract a lot of that sort.

I totally agree, but it is however a judgement based on opinion, and I thought it inappropriate in an article by a lawyer trying to convey the untainted truth of the matter. Supporters of "free Tommy Robinson" will no doubt dismiss what Secret Barrister is actually saying when they find themselves referred to like this.

Perhaps young, working-class men aren’t stymied by the middle-class necessity to avoid at all cost accusations of Islamaphobia. What if the former are correct and voice, if somewhat ineloquently, very real concerns about Islam? They’ve nothing to lose, you see, no standing to protect. I believe it’s known as ‘telling it like it is’.

Same group that vote for Brexit and moan about immigrants. Are these now your 'brothers in arms' in your crusade against Islam?

I voted remain and welcome immigrants. What I don’t welcome are the increasing Islamic enclaves that are growing rapidly across Great Britain. If the young, working class men we’re discussing are of the same opinion, then yes, I’ll stand with them. What I see from the last several posts is a snobbery which renders the very real concerns of a particular demographic invalid on the grounds that they are different to you and others. The hypocrisy sickens me. The demographic once faught wars and worked as colliers and enjoyed a pint and watched the footy. They see their landscape eroding and have in Robinson one of their own acting on their behalf. My heart goes out to them.

That probably would enrage most working class people, who would see Robinson as a hate filled bigot.

Remember this is the EDL types we're talking about here
