Speaking for myself, if I do encounter a Brexidiot spouting the nonsense Hodgy just suggested five years from now, the first thing I'll be doing is laughing very loudly in their face.

After that I might well also accidentally on purpose nut them square on the nose (as an unfortunate consequence of my barely controllable laughter, of course), but crying I sure as **** won't be.

Quite true! I'm sure just about all "remoaners" will take delight in saying I told you so

It would 53 % stay / 47% leave - if there were a rerun of the vote

This is typical of an idiotic Brexit response to, well, anything really. Brexiteers spent decades moaning about the EU, but by your logic, you should have gone elsewhere if you didn't like it, so why shouldn't remainers spend the next x decades trying to achieve what they want? Forty odd years between joining the Common Market to leaving, let's spend the next 40 getting us back in (probably inevitable anyway)

Also, by saying "if you don't like it you should go and live somewhere else", you are actually advocating immigration, one of the things Brexiteers seem to hate so much

And your being a moron over simplifying issues because your to stupid to understand them properly. Just accept your in the minority.

See we can all throw mud but you don't seem to realise your the problem that cause brexit in the first place. Had there been compromises before the brexit vote, instead of just throwing mud around, the vote would have been a different outcome.

People don't typicly have an issue with immigration, they have an issue with uncontrolled immigration, but you'll be pulling the racist vard next im sure lol

I'm not sure why I am the problem? I don't have any control over the policies of the EU, nor was I responsible for trying to negotiate some unnecessary changes to what was the best the deal we had, to satisfy the right wing of the Tory party.

Brexit is engineered by a vocal minority who have fed in to gullibility and xenophobia to gain something that is pretty universally agreed to be a bad thing by most financial analysts, industry, security, scientific bodies.......

As for immigration, uncontrolled immigration works both ways, so you've denied people the freedom to move around Europe, which is your choice, but immigration has been good for the UK, it's only bad if you believe the red tops. It may not be racist, but it's probaly xenophobic, or at best, simply not understanding (or refusal to believe) what benefits it has brought to the UK.

Minority? Again, you paint it as if it's 80% in favour of being out, but the polls show it's a majority who think it was wrong decision to leave, a majority want a freed trade deal.

YouGov has regularly asked people the question: "In hindsight, do you think Britain was right or wrong to leave the European Union?"

During the last three months, on average, 39% have said that the decision was right while 49% have stated it was wrong.
That's above he margin of error which Brexiteers crowed so much about in 2016 when the polls were much closer and showed Remain slightly in the lead.

YouGov found people preferred a deal to no deal by 66% to 15%. Kantar, by contrast, put support for a deal at a more modest 44%, but still found only 21% backing no deal. The rest did not know which was better.

Who exactly is in the minority here?

1. Yes obviously.
2. Because we have'nt the quota in our own waters.
3. It's the same thing only its going through our economy. (Thought thats what this Brexit carry on was supposed to be all about)

Yes , but how much leaving eu is going to change foreign ownership or indeed British workers welfare is the real question here

I guess you missed the vote then?

People had a right to vote for or against or not vote. Not voting doesn't mean they didn't want brexit. Stop twisting the result for yiur own ends.to try to justify you bad point.

And polls are really reliable arnt they? Given they said the polls showed we'd vote to remain before the vote as well.

If you're so proud of this country and so in tune with what's in its better interests, how about you go and learn to read and write its national language properly, before coming on here and lecturing others on where they should or shouldn't live.

What on earth are you wittering about? Where did I say people who didn't vote didn't want Brexit?

The polls in 2016 showed a narrow lead for remain, they were wrong, but just about within limits for polling errors. The polls now show overwhelmingly that it was a bad idea, overwhelmingly that people don't want no deal.

As it happens, we now have a free trade deal, so we have, as predicted, ended up having to align with the EU without having any say, and you think we're morons

Well, the base trade deal is now done. Now follows decades of ever more closer deals with the EU, until we rejoin

Stuck it up Brxiteers, your victory will be short lived

No dealers very quiet

presumably sobbing into their brussels at such a sell out

pontificating how to make a credible comeback

You Sir seem to have a bee in your bonnet about the fishing fleet. I thought this was what this Brexit b******t was all about. Getting some of the Sovereignty back of which I would of thought gaining access back of our territorial waters was a very valid point.. It has nothing to do with the fact that the majority of the population only eat cod and chips as you keep trying to tell us. But the fact that our fleet can catch the said cod and chips and the more exotic species and then sell them to our exotic neighbours to eat. In other words how would you like someone jumping over your fence into your garden and stealing your territorial fish and then selling them back to you because you are not allowed to catch and eat your own fish. It has nothing to do with the prudish British mentality of I'm not eating that cause they've never tried it. At least if the British fleet can catch their own stocks it can processed and sold through our economy instead of the foreign fleets and economies.

There's hardly any Cod in British waters, thats why the British fleet used to steal it from Icelandic waters! So we'll still need to import Cod, but now we'll have to import more because our fleet can no longer catch it in other countries waters!
