About time we got out of Europe
We give over 56 million per day
Imagine what sort of good we could do with that if it was spent in this country

One billion a month giving on foreign aid
250 million to India
Who are sending a man In thier space programme

We could afford to give a million quid to everyone in the uk
For the money that is wasted overseas

But of couse it makes the spineless / chicken pm
Look good when I gets his retirement job after may l

Ukip
It's the only way forward after decades of dishonest out of touch politicians running the uk

he's over stated it...but he's dead right, that EC money and ESPECIALLY the foreign aid, would be better spent here in the UK, STARTING IN THE NORTH AND ENDING IN THE NORTH.

£1m for everyone is £70,000,000,000,000 or £70 trillion, that's about 35 years of UK GDP

Their taxation policy should be an interesting read.

Mind you if tUKIP did give everyone a million we could all retire, of course we'd then have to employ millions and millions of foreign workers to do our jobs

Who'd of thought it?

Doesn't the North already get a lot of foreign aid?

I wish...we actually get 1% of knack all, compared to the SE and Home Counties.

The foreign aid budget would pay off the Humber Bridge loan, meaning tolls could fall to 50p, and prosperity might come to Humberside.

Or it would go a long way towards extending the M11 northwards to skirt Peterboro on the east, touch Boston, take in Lincoln and finally end up at the A15 to the Humber Bridge...providing ANOTHER route to the ports of Hull, Grimsby, Immingham, Stallingborough etc.
And delivering much needed releif to the A1!!!

But no......let's give it to countries with their own space programme...the sort of space programme Britain can no longer afford.

I like the M11 idea (much more than HS2) but considering the roads we already have never get maintained properly.........

As for the Humber, consider that when the Q.E.2 bridge at Dartford was finished tolling was supposed to pay for the bridge and then stop. That bridge has long since been paid for. Easy money.

Oh, don't get me started on THAT particular scam.

It paid for itself on £1 tolls within a few years, a very few years.

So we asked, is it free now, and Lying labour said, no it needed the tolls to pay for maintenance.

After a year or so, it was again realised that the amount generated was FAR FAR in excess of any maintenance budget, so then Lying Labour came out with the idrea that the tolls were some sort of green tax....cutting down on usage and so on pollution.
Except that there's no other route, and the pollution is now several orders WORSE due to queues for the tolls Not to mention the hours wasted........

THEN they made it free at night, but the scammers raised the tolls by 50%.

THEN they sold it into private hands just before the last election, for giveaways that didn't keep them in power.

Since then, the tolls have all but doubled.........

Madness.

It's £1.50 each way now isn't it, Jeff? Was about £3.00-£3.50 a while back but even £3.00 saving over a return journey is better than naff all.

Pollution, well when they seem to have the bridge at constantly 30mph rather than 50mph, and you get stuck behind someone trundling along at 20... grr

The Dartford crossing is one of my biggest pet hates.
It's not so much having pay, it's the having to be massively inconvenienced by being stuck in interminable queues to pay that pisses me off.

At least they have made a bit of progress on this, with auto payments.

Perhaps if there weren't so many immigrants here using it, you'd be able to cross it more quickly Martin...?

Frankly, I can't see anyone worth voting for at present, but people died so that I could, so I'll find someone.

Me too.

It's not the money, it's the sometimes 15 mile tailbacks, the wasted fuel doing 15 miles at AN AVERAGE OF 10mph in second gear, the tiring on-off of the drive, clutch etc, and the TOTAL WASTE OF PART OF MY LIFE!!!.

aND HOW much pollution? Insanity.

Is it any better now with auto payments? I'll be over there at the end of the month, so far have made ZERO progress opening an account, it just crashes every time I try

Shock: I agree with Martin on something

As our Scots cousins would say: "Aye...right..."

Why else has the toll gone up AGAIN?
To cover for foreigners NOT paying.

They are going to chase them across Europe for £2? I think...not.
