overboost
hi ,sounds like you are defo hitting fuel cut due to over boost ,anything over around 1.0 1.1 bar is going to hit fuel cut on your standard z4 ecu ,check all your vacuum pipes to your boost solenoid and map sensor for cracks ,splits etc if they look ok I would be looking to change the boost control solenoid/map sensor you can pick up a 3port solenoid and map sensor complete on hear for around £20 or ebay ,make sure when you fit you re-fit the restrictor pill in the bottom pipe

Z4 Ecu so you are running waaaaaaaaay too much boost.
This is the specs for the ECU (same as mine).
Z4 ECU 1995/1996 WRX
12.7PSI (0.9BAR), DROPPING TO 11.7PSI (0.8BAR) @ 6600RPM.
FUEL CUT 15.65PSI (1.08BAR).
260PS (256 BHP) @ 7250RPM.
I would go about 2 things, 1 being the actuator, 2 being the boost controller.
1. If your actuator has been fiddled with, then you'll need to unwind it turn by turn until the boost comes under control.
BUT
2. Check the 3 port boost solenoid, the two upper pipes are connected to the intake manifold, and turbo nipple. The third (one of importance) has a restrictor pill inside. This HAS to be 2mm for the Z4. My car had all these pipes replaced with a manual boost controller, so when I went to refit the solenoid I had to make a pill from half inch of plastic knitting needle, and a 2mm drill bit. This was inserted into a silicone pipe and has worked nicely for 4 years
So that should help you out, as a start. Also check EVERY hose to the boost controllers and the MAP sensor.
Failing that there is a speed sensor built into the clocks on the early impreza's, which I had issues with in the past, you can either swap clocks out, or if you want I'll take my old ones apart (again) and show you the sensor itself you need to replace.

Mate you are chasing your tail and are never going to solve it like this.
Put it back to standard as much as possible and take it to a decent subaru specialist.
You can't just swap ecu's and turbos around like this and expect no issues. With all the issues you are describing you are very likely destroying your engine.
