Which 205/50/16 tyre should I use?
I have standard 205/50/16 tyres on my W Reg Impreza. I have always used Goodyear eagle F1's. These are now unavailable in my tyre size.
Any suggestions on an equivalent performance tyre would be helpful. I can get Toyo Proxies in this size, which is one possibility. Any other suggestions?
Anyone used Nokian ZG2's ?
Many thanks.

I use 16" 205 zg2's, but with the 55 profile.
For road use, I think my suspension works better with a more compliant sidewall.

I went for Toyo Proxes T1R's.
Very satisfied so far, although perhaps enduces alittle more understeer than the Eagle F1's. However, I am running the fronts with 34 psi which might be a bit too much for the Proxes.

Tried the T1R's, preferred the Eagle F1 GSD3 but no longer available, now running Uniroyal Rainsport 2, all on the same lightly modded MY97 uk turbo, all in 205/50-16.
At £75 a corner from Camskill http://www.camskill.co.uk/m62b0s300p..._Noise%3A_71dB was very impressed in the snow and they seem not a bad all rounder for the price. Also use them on my wife's Zetec S and very happy with them there too.
Some people have reservations about the soft sidewall so probably not a tyre for the track or the lardier newage cars. No idea about how they wear yet tho.
