Default Track day tyres

Ok so just been to my first track day with a nice new set of Toyo proxie t1's , which promptly melted and it wasn't a particularly hot day, so can anybody suggest anything that might stand upto some abuse, and not cost the earth,

Iv been thinking about federal 595rs-r would like to hear from anyone that's used these before , How long they last, how they deal with heat, and do they work in the wet.

Also two Toyo proxies for sale ( of the right side these ones that got off light )

Thanks for looking and would appreciate any help

Most road tyres will do the same tbh, Yoko AD08's are supposed to be very good though

Melted my T1R's at Snetterton but road tyres will always get very hot on track causing wear and lots of squirming under breaking

I was going to try the federals but just couldn't find anyone who had any. In the end went for a 2nd set of the yoko ad08's I love them as road tyres and on track.

your best bet is a set of toyo r1r's as they give almost r888 grip but you get a full depth tread no 5mm

Use your road tyres when they are nearly worn out - new tyres wont last two minutes.
