08 STI's are 114mm stud centre's, if there genuine Subaru disc's they will require redrilling to suit your WRX 100mm.some after market come with both sets of holes.
The caliper should bolt on ok, with the correct bolts.

I have 08 STI brakes on my 95 classic. Just make sure you have the caliper bolts, lines and get the discs drilled to 100 PDC (£15-30) and your away

On the couple i have done you can keep the original one, its just not as big in diameter to cover the new disc.

Do you mean your pushing down hard & there's no retardation from the car ?, you may have a seized piston or pistons in the calipers, or a pad seized or a servo problem, i would check the calipers coming off to see if there is any seized pistons / pads, if so you've found the problem.

The only other thing with putting the Brembo's on the front only, i have found they tend to be very front biased braking & lock up easily, when fitted with rears as well that goes away, & is a very balanced car under braking.

it does sound like a seized piston now thinking about it, the calipers have sti on them is that just instead of brembo i guess?

I agree with MOTORS: when mine had just Brembos on the front it was prone to sitting down at the front under braking.

Now, with STi Brembos at the rear AND the brake bias mod, it brakes flat, and is totally planted.

If your going to match the fronts at some point don't use the hatch STI rear brakes as they are a different caliper to the non hatch STI's, & won't match your caliper brackets.
