Upgraded Brake Master Cylinder
What options do i have for a upgrading my brake master cylinder for my Impreza Classic Turbo 2000.
I fitted some K-Sports all around and i'm thinking it would be nicely suited with a better brake master cylinder.
Has anyone upgraded their master cylinder and able to confirm this?
Is the 22B brake master cylinder better and does it fit?
Thanks

I've got 356mm 8 Pot fronts and 330mm 4 pot rears from 294mm 4 pot fronts and 266mm sliding 1 pot rears.
My brakes have been check to see if they are fitted correctly and all is fine including a full bleed.
Pedal has a good bit of travel and isn't as firm as i would like so i'm looking into brake master cylinders, i read a topid this can help with a better pedal.
Thanks

When i replaced my 330mm disks and pads it was advised to do 300 miles before givng them a bit, as with you i did a fair amount of motorway driving so left it till 500 and them gave them a bit. The bite of them got better for the next few hundred miles after that.
I would give it a few more hundred miles and see where your at.

found thread
afaik turbo 2000 master cylinder is 25mm bore, think the one from a bugeye are bigger at 27mm, could be wrong though only going on my uk 98.
remember reading a thread about it somewhere on here as its considered an upgrade to help reduce the pedal travel,
the end of the master cylinder is stamped with the size, might need a mirror though, worth having a look ?? have you installed a brake stopper to help too ??

Ahhh! I'll need to check that out.
Hmm i wonder what BMS they have on the newages with the Brembo's.
Nope i haven't installed a brake stopper, i would imagine that wouldn't resolve the 2" play on the pedal lol.
Thanks

My 99 Turbo 2000 has a BMS bore of 1 1/16" which is 26.9875 millimetres.
I'll have to find out what the newage bores are, anyone want to have a look please.
Thanks
