what tyres please
i will soon be fitting some 8j 18 revolution milleniums to my 2004 blobeye STi. i was under the impression that the correct tyre size would be 225/40/18. but ive been advised by a good friend on here to go to 235. is this ok ?
any advice appreciated.

Well...width 8 inches = 203.2 mm
Rim to tyre ratios:
203.2 / 225 = 90 %
203.2 / 235 = 86%
The minimum allowed it 70%, and anywhere between 85 to 95% is the sweet spot. Personally I would stick with 225 and hit the optimal 90% ratio.
