New 4 pots and discs
Had new (refurbed) 4 pots with new s/s pistons etc and new grooved discs with new redstuff pads fitted, all good for a mth or 2,but now,as soon as brake pedal is pressed i get a loud enough to hear in the car clunk from what seems the passenger side caliper, when the car is moving i only have to press the pedal lightly to get the sound, but when the car is stopped, pressing the pedal makes no sound
since i have aftermarket pads,im thinking of getting an original set of subaru 4 pot pad shims
any ideas otherwise ????
cheers

yeah, still have the big centre clip in place, thats new as well,as well as the pad pins.
its only when car is moving which makes me think its pad noise and when stationary,no noise (as discs isnt moving pads i guess) if i pump the pedal when car moving, the noise is on off on off etc as i apply pressure to pedal
weird.

Is it a click or a knock, try to associate it with thin metal sounds (click) or thick dense metal sounds (knock) if that makes sense...?
Also can you feel it through the pedal or not...?

might be a ball joint worn or loose/worn wishbone bushes, sometimes a brake upgrade can show up other defects as there is now more braking force and stresses put on the cars bushings.
