Question

Please help me out here as I hafve a dilema....

Bought one of the last sets of S02's. Now got an un-repairable puncture. Do I get one extra S02 or buy 2 S03's and uses the spare S02 as a fail safe incase it happens again????

Is the S03 a better performance tyre.... speed/handling/wet/dry wise?

SO2 or S03?? Stick with SO2s if I were u...

Tried SO3s on a type r, they're fine... cheaper than SO2s, and definitely quieter. BUT near the limits the SO3s will loose grip without warning unlike the SO2s... Depends how u drive yours...

S02, possibly a bit better but also tend to wear quicker.
If you go for one of the last remaining sets, you need to consider what happens if you damage a tyre in 6 months time and find you can't get another S02, then you are f**ked.
I've just bought a set of S03's and they are just fine. Just depends how close to the limit you push your car.

You also need to check you aren't getting very old stock, tyres tend to go off over time so anything made more than 6 months ago will be past its best.

You can tell when a tyre is made by looking for a small oval on one side of the tyre with 4 numbers in it such as 0120 or 0045
the first two numbers are the year and the second two are the week it was made. I would avoid any tyre made before 0126
