Default 8.5J x 18

Can I fit 8.5J with 235-40-18 tyres ok to a Hawkeye STi without rubbing on the arches?

The question is pointless without knowing what offset (E.T.) you intend to buy !

Mine are ET 44mm and 8" wide and easily fit my Bug-eye.... but 235 tyres scuff my modified arches at the rear, just !

I've got 8.5 x 18" with 235s on my Blobeye STi, running BC coilovers and they don't rub, not too sure of the offset though, think they are 40??? Dare drift RS's if that helps.

Not as much as 9" will give, but never the less, concave affect with no arch mods, and a low stance :
