Default Will Hawkeye alloys fit a Blobeye?

Can anyone tell me if I can fit a set of Hawkeye alloys on my 05 blobeye. The pcd is the same at 5 x 100 but the offset is 55. Don't want to part with the cash unless I know they will fit OK. Grateful for any advice.

think you will find the pcd on 05> cars onwards were pcd114.3 not pcd100 unless you have a wrx then i think they were still pcd100 for the blobeye but not the hawkeye

but i may be wrong

Thanks for that, the wheels on my '05 WRX blobeye are definitely 5 x 100 with an offset of 45. I have just asked the seller to confirm that the new alloys are what he advertised i.e. 7j x 17 with a pcd of 5 x 100 and offset of 55.

Yes, its the offset that is confusing me as well. I don't really understand what it means and how it will affect the fitment. Hopefully, someone with a bit more knowledge than me will be able to point me in the right direction.
Cheers.

They fit fine but they look horrid mate.

Yours should be 17x7 ET55 5x100 IIRC
H'EYE ones should be the same as nothing changed wheel and brake wise between the models. They are defo the same PDC though Wrx for Wrx.

Do you think they look that bad? I am looking at them as a replacement for my scuffed std wheels. I would like to put gold Inovit Redlines on but with the tyres they are around £1000. Hoping to pick these up for about £300 with nearly new tyres (Potenza).

Potenza's are horrid too mate, in 40 or 50 guise !

There was a car recently on here that went from WRX rims to the new ones and they look naff IMHO. £300 will get you a set of V7+ STi rims which are much better.

Default Beware of Ebay

I just recently bought tyres and wheel combo off a seller on this forum, only to find that the tyres were unusable. I had to replace all four tyres as although the description was technicaly correct, two RHS wheels were below the limit on the inside edge, and the other two had had puncture repairs. By the time I paid for new tyres all round, I was £100 worse off than if I had just bought a tyre package. Bottom line, do not allow yourself to pay a premium for rubber you will probably be replacing.

However I am delighted with my inovit redlines which had been refurbished and powder coated in a matt of black colour. I have been stopped in traffic with compliments 5 times so far. Apparently my car is now "sick" which apparently is a complement in these modern times. As I have the mental and emotional age of twelve year old, this makes me happy.

just to clarify ALL subaru models to present date use the same fitment 5x100PCD and similiar offsets
the ONLY exception to this is the 2005> STi's that use the 5x114.3PCD

hope this helps, alyn

Thanks Alyn, I appreciate the help from everyone. Just for info, I got fed up looking for used wheels and have just ordered a set of new Inovit Redlines in gold direct from Inovit - £321 - not bad eh!

Regards to all.
