Hi all...

Anyone tell me how long it takes to change a wheel bearing on a 2002 Sti Impreza?

I have a scraping noise coming from my drivers side front wheel when turning left at about 20mph or more...

straight or rurning right there is no noise... car has done 83k now and as far as I know the wheel bearings are originals...

According to urban legend 3 in 4 damage the hub by the time you can hear them....

Mine did, didn't fancy it, so paid for it to be done.

Blimey I hope its not a hub job!

like I say its only heard when going left above 20mph...

I've ordered a new bearing kit, just got to wait for it to arrive, just wondered how long they take to fit... btw a garage will be fitting it not me..

As said above if u catch them as soon as you hear them you can save the race the bearing runs un, once thats knackered it eats into the Hub.
