Tyres for Wet Trackday
Going to Donington on Saturday and the forecast is starting to look wet.
I've got some worn tyres on spare rims that I was planning on using in the dry but do I just keep my road tyres on if its wet? Always been lucky with the weather before.

Your normal road tyres will be ok (providing they are reasonable tyres in reasonable condition). Just don't blast out of the pitlane into Redgate if it is wet or you'll end up in the gravel trap - get a bit of heat into the tyres first

Donington has a good surface so you shouldn't use too much your road tires.
If you use your used spare tires the main risk you are running is of aquaplanning so if the track is wet with no stading water, you will be fine on them as well.
