Default brake questions

hi all, couple of questions reguarding my brakes, first of all..braided lines..do they make any difference or are they just dress up lines really.

second..are 4pot callipers made by brembo? ive been told they are but im not sure.and am i right in thinking that my discs are 294mm front (bugeye) because when i priced sum up i was told that mine are 329mm and that 294mm are P1 discs

anyone clear this up for me

Braided lines, yes they make a difference. Well worth doing for the price of them 45-60quid.

Re: the brakes.

The Subaru 4pots take a 294mm disc as mentioned, and are the same as P1 brakes, and any other subaru turbo from 98 onwards. Its only the Bugeye STi (and all of the other STi's onwards) that has the Brembo's and takes the 326mm disc

The gold ones that say Brembo are still 4pots.
I don't think the ones that say Subaru are Brembo's at all. They are the same as the four pots available on the Nissan 200SX.
So the bloke don't know what he is talking about, if he suggesting they are 329mm Brembo's.

Well i can't be sure, just incase yu try it and it don't work. But my mates S14 has the same disc size, and exact same pads as the Subaru ones.
But why would you want 4 pots that say nissan on your Scoob?

Yes braided brake lines do make a difference. It will make your braking more responsive, unlike the standard OE brake lines they expand when hard braking. The braided brake lines keeps the brake pressure, thus more responsive.
