Default Tyres Recommendations

Hi,

Could anyone advise me on some decent tyres for my 55 Plate Blob Eye STI. Should I go with the standard tyres that the car comes with or are there some others out there that can do just as good a job. Price is obviously the main issue for me, also any decent places to go within south yorkshire for them.

Same here. Had them on 3 Imprezas, can't fault them. Don't be duped into putting budget tyres on your car

After the Evo magazine article on performance tyres a year or so ago I went to Vresdein Ultrac Sessanta's and now am on Goodyear GSD3 Aysmetrics just to compare .... they were the top two rated tyres btw .. .. technically the Goodyear was the better tyre .. and probably I'll concede that they are just about in day to day operation ..... but boy are they noisy compared to the Sessantas.

I've used Falken 452's on my Scoob and my last car. Moved to Falkens from Yokos and found them much better all round. Clearly not for use on a track day car.

Spec 2's great in dry, a bit twitchy in wet and in snow.
Generally good and look ace
