Question Optimum tyre sizes for 18inch PFF7 on Classic Impreza?

Am wondering what tyre sizes people have used/had best experience with when fitting 18 inch Prodrive PFF7 to their Classic Imprezas?

I had been set on finding some P7 wheels in 17x7 but may be able to source some PFF7s in Anthracite at a great price overseas so would like to consider them.

Cheers.

Ok, thanks. Any recommendations on best tyre for that profile? Seems like Yoko's, Continental and Veredstein are made in that size?

It's going to be pretty stretched and those rims left very vulnerable.

I heard about the stretching as well, especially on a 8x18 wheel. I have searched on threads and people have run 225/40 18s on Classics and experience some rubbing on very tight cornering with a heavy load, so not much in the course of real driving. Perhaps 225/35 18 would be a better comprimise??

I've had 215/35 on PFF7's for about a year or so, they do not stretch well over the wheels and leave the rims exposed, they are now very kerbed!!
I have just changed them 225/35 this weekend and look 100times better.
