Iv'e already painted them red, but would like to paint the subaru nameplate and 2 lines runnning down the caliper white........what's best for doing this as it needs to be pretty thin (brush)

I used Holts white touch up paint (bit like tippex) as it comes with a brush.

Get yourself a 'radiator' roller and a tray (small foam type from b&q).
Just do light coats, eventually it will be solid white.
Used white hammerite myself

How did you get subaru perfect in white? did you mask it up? or do you just have a steady hand

If you have a steady hand, try it, it's not that hard, and tbh, doesn't have to be perfect as viewing will be from a couple of metres, which will make all but the worst mistakes disappear.

If not, try these tricks:

1. Paint a block of wood quite thickly with white (if that's your colour) paint, then quickly press it paint side down onto the lettering. Repeat until it's all covered.

2. The above can also be done with a small sponge, only don't press TOO hard

NIce one, I need to do mine too. Wait for it to warm up a bit though as I don't like painting when it's cold and damp

I cut a bit of sponge the size of the area, dipped it into paint and gently stuck it onto the subaru writing worked pretty well

Not recommended either. Nor if it's too hot, but we don't have that prob very often in the UK

I find early-ish on a summers day works, cool enough to get the painting done and then as the day warms up it cures nicely
