if you have a type-R with the SUBARU 2pots fitted as std, then you don't need any fitting kit!!! you only need it for std style cars

the type-R and the new-age STi share the same PCD for the calipers and also the R180 back diff/hub assemblies, so its a bolt-on job pretty much. simply trim the backing plate to allow the larger STi disc to clear

we have done numerous customers cars in this manner with no issue

Yes the Type R has a 190mm handbreake drum the same as the later STi's , so the Brembo discs and calipers will fit straight onto a type R , it is the only classic shape that they will fit , all the other classic models need the fitting kit and shoes to fit them

Thanks again for the info

I was going to buy the conversion kit from Godspeed for approx £190 inc shoes, until you put me straight

The full Brembo kit (front and back) should look the job on the car

Cheers,

Michael

as in the Brembo front discs?? then yes, dependant on the age of the car they came from...............up to 05 the STi's used the same PCD (5x100) as every other scooby, but 05> it changed to 5x114.3........
you can either get the later discs re-drilled to suit or use earlier ones and the calipers are a bolt-on fit regardless
one word of caution though, the Brembo caliper is very bulky and only certain wheels will have the correct spoke clearance needed regardless of diameter/offset

Hello Lads,

The Brembos I was purchasing off another Scoobynet member has fallen through as he cannot ship them to Ireland. If you know of anyone selling a complete set of Brembo Calipers from a newage let me know, I can arrange collection

I have already posted in the wanted section aswell

Cheers,

Michael
