Default disk change from godpeeds....

hey all, i have an 03 wrx with front brembo conversion with godspeed grooved discs and mintex pads. i get an awful judder when braking hard from speed and wondered if it is the discs them selves.
now if i was to change the discs do i have to re use godspeed or can i replace them with some thing else? want to try different ones to see if it cures the problem.
cheers, shawn

Shawn, have you spoken to Ian about this, it's not unknown, and would be best resolved through him, as you won't be able to get discs to fit from anyone else i don;t think....

Ring him!!

Any decent local garage should be able to get them skimmed for a few quid. Try a couple of big stops (80-0 quickly, with a cooling gap between) to see if it improves things first. Sometimes the surface cleans up, other times it needs a skim.

i got them off a lad on here who had not a lot of use out of the, just got back from the ring last tuesday and the braking was awful, very violent juddering.
can they just not be replaced as if they were on an sti? ie for normal ones.
cheers, shawn

The discs are specific to ian's kit i believe, it could be pad deposits after a heavy session at the ring!!!
ie, your doing, nothing to do with the kit itself.....
if the disc surface looks odd, then it's probably deposits, i took mine off once and cleaned them off with emery paper.... could be the wrong pad for the use they're getting!!

As i understand it, the caliper offset is different to the factory fit brembo ones, and the discs are a different size too.....
