Default TAROX big brake kit. Opinions???

I need opinions on Tarox front brake kit.

The car is GC8 400whp using 17" wheels and rear gold brembos

I am considering the 326x30 with B32 calipers.
However at TAROXs webpage says that B32 calipers are aimed for 350hp cars, the TAROX dealer sais that these are very conservative numbers and insists that I will have the stopping power I want.

Does anybody uses these?

I've got tarox 12 pots on mine running just on 400 BHP.

If I had the money again I'd buy some AP 6 pots instead.......

I looked at some AP kit at Roger Clark Motorsport when they last sorted the car (they serviced the Tarox brakes among with other things).

The AP stuff looked well enginered and certainly up for the job but the real killer was the cost of the OEM tar ox replacements....£599 plus VAT for the big disks and £150 plus VAT for the pads

shaun, you speak to the wrong people.....................

agreed with the comments above though, the price/quality of the tarox kits whilst good is not on a par with pukka AP stuff - my own money i would spend on KAD brakes (better value for money, with no loss of quality).................

What about the performance of the Tarox kit in terms of stoping power?

Don't know much about the Tarox i have many friends that are involved in motorsport in one way or another and AP are rergarded by them all as top of the tree by a country mile. The calipers are meant to be more rigid, lighter in weight and more reliable then anything else on the market. I have AP 6 pots fitted on my scoob to genuine 330mm AP discs and i can honestly say i have never been in any road car with better braking power!!

Hi Alyn

I got the Tar Ox kit second hand at a price which was just too good to miss .... just got stung with the cost of replacing the disks and pads LOL

As ever, I have no hesitation in pointing people in your direction
