Sti Type RA 16" - what tyres?
I won these on the 'bay and they need tyres. 205/50/16 V
I have on Toyo T1 S at the mo and I like them. So was thinking of staying with them, but get the T1 R's.
What else could I camble on?
Yokohama Advan parada spec 2?
Yokohama Tires
Or Vredestein Ultrac ?
What can people recommend for me. V.Good wet and dry grip, Not too much road noise.
Cheers

I've never used them myself (think I'll try a set next), but if you search for Goodyear F1's you won't hear many bad opinions. I use Bridgestone Re050 (in 17'') at the moment and I'm very pleased with them. An extremely good all condition tyre.
I've also heard good reports on the Toyo's form friends. (just to confuse things).

Never had F1's but have gone through many sets of T1 S's. I'm now on T1 R's and they're a big improvement over the S's. Not in grip but in wear rate. I used to get around 14k out of the S - i've now done over 15k on my R's with loads of meat left

I guess so - but to your average driver, which probably covers 80-90% of road users including myself - they are no different to the S's in grip.
I've looked back at my mot's (these tyres went on just before my 2005 test) and it appears i've actually done just short of 19k on them and i would say there is about 3mm left before the wear indicator
