330mm or 355mm?
I'm changing the turbo & injectors and remapping at the end of the month and the missus is afraid i'm gonna kill myself!!! So she has offered to buy me some new front brakes and i've just gotta pay for the rears! I've decided on the AP Racing discs, pads & 6pot calipers having had AP Racing on another car i know how good they are, but i don't know if theres any advantage to having the 355mm over the 330mm AP Racing 6pot setup?
Also does anyone know the best place to buy AP Racing brake kits from?

330mm kit uses a better (stiffer and lighter) caliper allegedly. Not sure you could tell the difference mind.
What size wheels do you have? Standard STi are 17" and they'll only go over the 330mm kit. You need 18" to go over the 355mm discs.
The 4 pot rear kit is 335mm diameter disc, this is intended to match the 355mm front kit so if you're doing both best stick to 355mm fronts I think.

I've already got 18's, OZ Prodrives, and will prob go for the 355mm kit but just wondered if there was much difference between the kits.
Is it worth going for a bigger disc & caliper on the back as they do so little of the braking? I think i'll prob just use standard sized grooved discs and a fast road pad on the rear.
Where's the best place to but AP Racing brake kits?

I've been thinking about the exact same thing, and weight being an issue, would go for 330's & 6pots..

I was talking about the kit with 330mmm disc and 6 pot CP5570 caliper. P1FEK was talking about 6 pots too. But apart from that I totally agree with your reasoning.
