classic scooby tyre size help

Default classic scooby tyre size help

Hello Looking at buying a set of 18" alloys for my scooby

what is the best tyre size to go for?

I've been offered 225/40-18 toyo's ts1 for a really good price will these be ok

Craig , These fit a newage , Not sure about yours ??????? Id say no.

Just done a search >> Tyres for yours are 225/35/18 .

As above the recommended size by Prodrive for 18's is 225/35/18 but if the rim is only 7.5" in width then you will be ok for 215/35/18 but if you can afford the 225's then get these.

was gonna say wont be 40 profile on 18's, my classic has 17's on and there 215/40/17

well i'll give the 40 profile ones a go as i think 35 will make the ride to hard

Be prepared for these to rub..... 225/40 as stated above is not recomended for a classic. Up to you if you want to ignore all the advice but why ask in the first place?

Apart from the possibility of scraping the arches (depending on suspension set up and no. of people in the car) a 40 profile on an 18" rim also looks pants, imho. Think tractor wheels.
