Default Prodrive Brakes - Alternative discs??

Is there an alternative disc that can be used within the Prodrive setup?

Its just I'd rather not pay £210 +VAT per disc and £150 +VAT for a set of pads...

BG Developments (01527 873716) have made some previously for someone else on here. They used an off the shelf AP Racing disc (they're an AP agent) and made a one off ally bell to match it to the Prodrive Alcon caliper. I presume they kept records of the dimensions.

No idea what it cost though, cheaper presumably or the guy wouldn't have gone ahead with it. Will also be lots cheaper the next time as the bell gets reused and it's just a new disc.

The main man is called Bob. Checked the website here and no it isn't it's Bob Green. I guess the clue is in the BG bit.....

Personally I prefer to deal with their blond lass Carrie, she knows marginally less about brakes than Bob but who cares?

Its going to be expensive whichever way you do it , going for AP discs with separate bells will work out around the same cost as the one piece Prodrive discs , but 2 piece discs are better , and then you only need to replace the outer part once they are worn. Here is a flyer from the rally car day for the ones Godspeed do , but any of the brake specialists could make bells to fit the AP discs

since Subaru reduced their costs for these then its cheaper to by the official one-piece items, its not worthwhile going for aftermarket discs purely on cost grounds as they are almost always more expensive now (albeit better qulaity/suited to enthusiastic use)
