4 pot brakes with Speedline alloys???
#1
At the moment i've got a set of Speedline Chrono alloys (ET 55 i think?) and when i bought them i had not intention of getting 4 pot brakes fitted. Guess what...... i now want better stopping power!!!! I've got EBC discs and pads but would like the 4 pot calipers but i've been told that they will not fit, is this true and if so is there any way around it (such as spacers etc)????
Any help or advice would be great (apart from telling me to buy new alloys )
Cheers,
Tony.

I run the Prodrive PD7's which are 17 inch speedline alloys with an offset of 52mm, i own an MY00 turbo (4pots std) but have since upgraded these to Brembo 4pots (damn site better!)
Hopefully it should answer your question

It's a known issue with the Speedline Chronos (aka - Superturmiso)
I think (but I'm not sure) that DocJock got his to fit over a set of standard 4-pots, but I know a few people who couldn't. The spokes taper in too far to clear the caliper.
I know that Scoobysport use to do a Brembo kit that would fit under this wheel or get some wheel spacers (2-3mm)!
Hope this helps

The kit I have is from Hi-Spec in Dartford (close Andy )
312x28mm disks/bells with a bracket to move the 2-pot caliper further out. I went this route because I also had 17" Speedline Chronos.
The kit costs £400 + VAT now and makes a HUGE difference (I tried "uprated" standard-size disks beforehand).
I'm selling mine as I have MIMs on the car now but already have a buyer lined-up - drop me an e-mail if you are interested and I will contact you if the sale falls through.

Tone,
Update: The buyer I mentioned has bought them and they don't fit with his 16" wheels.
When they were fitted to my car by Hi Spec, it had 17" Speedline Chronos on it.
Are you still interested ? I so, I can put you in touch with him...
Thanks
Gavin
