Goodyear F1's!!!!

They've transformed the handling (especially in 5hite british weather) of every car i've put them on.
Even replaced the pefectly good condition p-zeros on my scoob with them.
Best thing i've ever done to it!

I have Avon ZZ1's on my MY99 - they're nothing to shout about to be honest ( see this thread ... http://www.scoobynet.co.uk/bbs/thread.asp?ThreadID=32629 ). Went in my mate's scoob - nice motor Chris! - and his Toyo TS-1's are fantastic!!

Let us know how you get on ....

I use BFGoodrich Profiler Gs, find them good in both wet and dry and don't wear out too quickly either. Medium to expensive in price, but worth it I feel. I've also been recommended Bridgestone SO-2s

F1's - less than £100 each fitted - done 16k on mine and they still grip like hell especially in the wet - which we've seen a bit of recently - and plenty more to go.

Bridgestones wear out quickly i have found, my last set did 6000 miles only on the front of Scooby. I have had them on my Shogun as well and they didn't last on there either 9000 miles needed 4 new tyres.

Yep, I vote F1's - 4*17's for £302.92, including car collection and return, fitting, balancing etc. Much improved dry and wet grip. I have much more confidence compared to the previous Pzeros. Still looking very good with 7k of hard driving now!

I've got F1s (16" wheels) and find them pretty good in the dry but very slippery in the wet.

For my next set I am thinking of getting something different -- to compare and also hopefully find more grip in the wet.

Subarussian, with F1's you should really notice more of an improvement in the wet than the dry! I find them extremely sticky in the wet, especially after them overated p-zero's.
Mind you, i have noticed that over the last year or so, the roads are definatly getting greasier for some reason.

The one you want is the Goodyear Eagle F1 GS-D2 - this is the one with the V-Grooved tread.

Cheers
Neil.

This from the goodyear website

"The new Goodyear EMT spells the end of emergency wheel changes. This amazing new innovation from Goodyear eliminates the need for dangerous roadside wheel changes and allows you to drive for up to 50 miles at 50mph on a deflated tyre! The EMT tyre also fits on a standard wheel.

EMT is only available from specialist dealers, and is available in a wide range of high performance tyre sizes from 15" wheels upwards. "

They are including the EAGLE F1 GS-D2, anyone got any experience of this in action?

What about the Bridgestone S-03 PP? Work great, also on the track! Very consistant, very grippy, especially in the wet (AFTER BEDDED IN THAT IS).

So do the Goodyear Eagle F1's last longer in comparison to Bridgestone’s? Reading this thread implies they do.....
