Doofus

I replaced my MY00 wheels with 17" Prodrive P1 Anthracites. No problems with clearance over the 4 pots. I fitted 215/40/17 Toyo T1 tyres. One thing aboout the P1 alloys are they can be a pain to clean compared to the MY00 wheels.

I have Raceline RL7's in Anthracite. They are fine for all scoobies (I have a 91 Legacy), and will allow clearance of all brake calipers inc 6 pots and 335mm disks. The are quite heavy but immensely strong.
Other wheels that will fit are
Technomagnesio Sport (OK for 4 pot calipers only ??)
Have a look at this page which will give you some ideas too.

Doofus, what about the off-set? And do they clear big-brake upgrades? These wheels clear APR 6-pots.

Radius R3, ET50
Speedline ST2, ET52
Motorsport Revolution RZX, ET50 (got mine from ScoobySport)

Doofus,

Buy the Fast Car magazines special called The Guide (almost certainly available from WH Smiths), massive wheel selection , styling , ICE + loads more besides . Thats how I finally decided on my new wheels !!

I was thinking of 17" wheels, and would fit 215/40 tyres. I'm thinking of getting OZ Super T's .. would I want 17 x 7 or 17 x 8 ?

7x17 is a safer bet, 8x17 may rub on the rear struts. Depends on the offset of the wheel ultimately. Check the Graham Goode site for details.

Stilauto SR500 look great (@ £105 + VAT ish from TN) but I suspect they are not as strong as they might be, having got 4 severely buckled, and 4 slightly buckled but balanceable rims in my garage after encounters with the huge number of DEEP potholes you get in Suffolk. Otherwise exceptional.
(e-mail if U want photo)
Now got Mimms from SS.
