Best Tyres ? ? ?
I need new tyres all round pretty soon but don't know what to get. I've got New Age wheels which are the 215/45 R17 and they unfortunately had WANLI tyres on them, which anyone thats had them before will know, are useless and squeal all day long round corners and don't hold the road at all!!
I need some advice on what tyres people think are best, where i can get them from and for how much if possible....??
Thanks in advance people..

In order of personal preference....
Vredestein Ultrac - Grip like brown stuff to bed linen, wet or dry. Excellent wear characteristics. Superb value for money (4x 225/35/18 for £320).
Goodyear Eagle F1 GSD3 - Very good grip wet or dry, wear reasonably well and have slightly soft sidewalls. Expensive.
Toyo Proxes T1S - Good grip again wet or dry, wear quicker than the others. Can be had at good prices if you look hard.
Bridgestone RE070 - Dirty bedsheets again in the dry, dirty underpants in the wet (avoid painted lines ). Wear reasonably well. Extremely rigid side walls (so much so that I didn't notice a puncture for 2 days ). Expensive and rare as hens teeth.

When you call them on that number, ask them to base the price the same way they did for Darren Atack in his blue STi. You might need to quote his reg no. which I could probably get for you given some notice. Also, the place your calling supply tyres at trade prices if you take them elsewhere to be fitted, which you should be able to get done for £5-10 per corner, so allow this in your budget. If you ask them to fit them they will quote you a retail price which is much higher than trade

Try elite in Rainham. Ask for Barry Eldrige as he does a lot of deals with Tiny from the Essex scooby crew.
