Wheel sizes on a Classic Wagon
Hi, I'm gonna cahnge the wheels on my wagon to 17's or 18's and was just wondering what size tyre and offset I need for a 17' wheel and an 18'- if the wallet can strech that far ;-)
Thanks in advance

17x7 wheels with 52mm offset (maybe minus up to 5).
- 205/45x17s (Pirelli) or 215/40x17s (many).
18x7.5 wheels with 53mm offset (maybe minus a couple).
- 215/35 (Toyo) or 215/40 (Michellin) or 225/35x18s (many).
The above are the wheel/tyre sizes that were offered on the P1 or as Subaru optional wheels for classics.
IMO on a classic, go for 17s unless you like driving on smooth tarmac only, especially if you've stiffened the suspension. This assumes you want a usable road car rather than a track biased or tarmac rallying monster.
PS: 17s can be really cheap too
