Godspeed brake fitting problems :(
I bought the 335 conversion 2nd hand from a fellow SN member and gave the car to a mate who owns a garage today to fit them.
However, he has just rung to say the extension bracket doesn't fit. He said there is no thread on the bracket and no thread on the hub of the car itself and needs a thread tapping into the hub.
I believe the kit came off a New Age car so perhaps the brackets are different between New Age and Classic cars. Tried calling Godspeed and left a message. Just wondered if anyone can shed some light on this before I have to go get the car back.
Any help much appreciated.

Thanks awd wrx, Ian just mailed the instructions over to me.
No one said anything about tapping the hubs!!!!
The garage I have doing the brakes doesn't want to tap them
Oh well, never mind, have to find somewhere else

Sorry, but they can't be much of a garage if they won't tap a thread....... it's easy, i've done several, and i'm only a 'diy-er'
if you buy the tap, will they not then do it? it'll cost about £15 tops...

Ian has mailed me and offered to do it and he's not that far away from me. I agree its just a tap but if they aren't happy to do it then I'd rather them say as much rather than carry on regardless. If I was confident enough to bleed and refill the brake fluid I'd have done the lot myself.
At least if he does, it'll be spot on Sadly though, he'll see the absolutely pi$$ poor job I made of painting my calipers red (as you do )

Ian very kindly doing it the job for me Saturday morning so if they need anything he can get them up and running properly. Be a relief to get the job done. I did think about not bothering and ebaying them or something but I'll see it through now.
