McGard Are Absolutely Useless
I lost my locking key so I sent the card off for another. It arrived today.
I went to try it on the car and it did not fit!
WTF is the point in having a 17 digit reference if they can't get it right?
When I look at the pattern on the key to that on the nut it is clearly ****$n miles different!
Now I am gonna have to send the bastid all the way back to germany for a refund as the muppets probably have not got a clue which one it really is.
Tommorrow I will need to trail round tyre places seeing if they can remove them for me.
Damian.

Update on this.
I took a photo of the key they sent me next to one of their nuts on my car to show how different it was. I then went to the arts & crafts shop and got some clay which I then took molds of the nut patterns on my car.
The photo, molds, wrong key and a accompanying letter with the same letter translated into German were sent back to McGard.
This was posted on the Monday, they received it on the Wednesday in Germany (I paid extra to track and trace it) and today I got return post from them.
The key this time was the correct one. I got a credit for the one I returned and so the charge was nil which should be expected.
They did not state whether they had to use my photos or molds though or whether it was just a mix up at their end.
The pat no. is different on each invoice which just tells me the two keys are different so I guess I will never know.
I am just relieved to be able to get the wheels off now.
Better get my pads off this afternoon they are looking and feeling a bit low.
So McGard have managed to redeem themselves But a big to them for putting me through such a distressing time.
