Changed Pad's etc.
I changed My Pad's all round and rear disks. I am very chuffed with myself having decided I would not spanner work a car after my last pad change that went wrong. (different car though)
I now feel very happy and pleased I can stop again.

Sith,
Can you give anymore details? I'm in need of replacing my front Pads on MY02 WRX and am not sure whether to
a) Just get a dealer to sort for me?
or
b) Buy and replace them myself - this one requiring some helpful hints and tips as to the "how to" and with what?
Cheers
Andy

If they're the same as mine:
There is one bolt which needs to be undone. This is on the lower seal - caliper slider. Undo the bolt and swing the caliper upwards, secure in upright posistion using a bungee or cable tie.
The pads are now exposed. Just pull them out and replace. Use copper slip on the back of the pads that will face the pistons and caliper. Stop's any squeeling.
Push the pistons back into the caliper, be very care full. I have a tool that does this for me. You may have to use a screw driver or other tool. Once pistons are back, lower caliper, tighten bolt and job done. Keep an eye on the brake fluid level in the resevour. If it goes over max then take some out.
To summerise
1, Undo caliper retaining bolt, lift caliper.
2, Take pads out, replace with new with copper slip on the backs.
3, Lower caliper and tighten bolt.
Wheel on, bolt's done, job done.
I can do mine 15 mins per side including wheel on / off jacking and lowering.
