Goodyears or Toyos?

Goodyears or Toyos?
Some advice please folks!
Have had F1s on my P1 for close to a year now, almost worn out so am thinking about replacing them in the very near future.
The F1s have been superb, excellent in the wet and good in the dry.
So the quandry is... do i stick with Goodyears or try Toyos, which i know are supposed to be as good!
Has any one used both at some stage!
Many thanks
Mikey

Apparently the T1-R's are a better tyre than the T1-S's, but still not up to the same standards in the wet as the F1's. I've had the T1-S's and the F1's on my car and while the dry handling is very similar, the F1 (GSD3's) are so much better in the wet.

Have tried all the tyres you mention and have to admit the F1's were a better tyre than the T1-S but having replaced all four on mine (01 wrx with 18's) with T1-R's I can categorically say the T1-R's are the best tyre by far out of that bunch.Handling both in the wet and dry is outstanding!!!!
When I phoned Toyo UK just before getting my tyres they said that TSL use T1-R's on their cars.Might be worth your while givin them a call and see what their verdict is on them too
Good luck

T1Rs fitted 1 month ago.(215/40/17)
Tried them on a sprint track, and they have soft sidewalls compared to bridgestones.
Good road tires though, very stable and predictable.
Hope this helps

I would stick with the F1's, they are a much better tyre than the Toyo's & the wet handling runs circls around the T1-s!! I have had the gsd3's on my Legacy for 2 years now, obviously not the same set & they are just brilliant i cant fault them. If anyone needs some F1's i am in the process of sorting out some kind of discount for Subaru owners with Goodyear GB. it will be through the Hi-Q outlets. As working for them has it's advantages!!!

Right guys, not confirmed as yet but it looks as though we could be getting somewhere in the region of 15% to 20% discount on each tyre!!! If anyone is coming to the next Surrey meet i will try & bring some different sizes along with me, so you can have a look, feel etc.. as for the avons i have heard good & bad reports on them. me i would stick to the Goodyears.
Cheers Dan
