Default Redstuff pads

Had some Redstuff pads fitted 2000 miles ago.
After 1500 miles they began to squeak continually unless applied.
They also clunk on initial application.
Took back to dealer to check out and says they are fitted ok!
But half worn! havin a laugh I said at 2000miles.
They have since squewaked only intermittently, but still clunk- they claim the anti rattle shims are fitted ok.
Has anyone else heard of such dramatic wear rate or should I ask for replacement under warranty?

I had redstuff (the old ones) on my old scoob and they were sh!te. Didn't work from cold and only worked once before fading when hot.

Oh, and they wore out stupidly quickly......................

ive actualy got the old ones on mine and i dont mind them

the standerd stuff i was useing was unable to keep the fade away, but the car was under braked as standerd so they got more abuse

i will try the new ceramics when these ones die a death, but they have lasted far longer then the cheap crap that was fitted before hand (2 sets of standerds in just over a year)

Cool

Graham

With regards the clunk - they shouldn't do that! That will be caused by the Anti Rattle clips being fitted upside down! Simply remove the Anti Rattle clips and fit them the other way up and the clunk will disappear!

Instructions which come with Redstuff ceramic say just fit stick-on backing supplied and discard anti-rattle clips. Don't think mine rattle - but who cares as lng as they stop. Best thing about them is thereis no horrible whirring noise you get with 1144's or Greenstuff.
