p1 prodrive brake upgrade problem
hello all, experencing ploblem with fitted prodrive brake upgrade for p1,new pads/discs fitted by dealer as part of proven warranty.When slowing down, but not actually braking, under 30mph, its as if there is brake assist and im getting a terrible rubbing/scraping noise from front discs,told dealer just said keep an i on it,its getting annoying now, only had the car 2 weeks,dealer had problems fitting pads , said prodrive sent wrong size,dealer had to phone prodrive techical department up to sort,obviously must be something not right? any prodrive technitions on here.mang thanks rob(newbie)

Surely on something like brakes, if you're not happy, which you're not, then take it back and get them to sort it, it is afterall a safety issue, and it's you that needs to be happy, not them!!

from experience it's probably down to the pad compound rubbing against the grooved disk- some pads make more noise than others- and the pads may need to be de-glazed.
