EBC Brake Pads
I am thinking about putting EBC Redstuff Ceramic pads on my MY02 WRX, can anyone who use these give me some feedback?
Also where's the cheapest place to buy?
Cheers,
Woody

YEEEEEHAAAA!!!!
GET READY TO SPEND SOME CASH MY FRIEND AS I HAVE BEEN USING EBC GROOVED & DIMPLED DISCS & RED STUFF PADS FOR NEARLY A YEAR ON MY 51 PLATE WRX. DON'T GET ME WRONG THEY PERFORM BEYOND BELIEF BUT AT A COST !!! £300+ FOR THE FRONT DISCS & £100 FOR THE PADS. I BOUGHT THEM FROM "MOTECH" IN RUSHDEN N'HANTS IN OCTOBER LAST YEAR. I HAVE JUST WORN OUT THE PADS & REPLACED THEM WITH CERAMIC RED STUFF PADS ( £115 )& I'M BEDDING THEM IN AND THEY ARE ROCK HARD, SO I'M CONCERNED THAT I MY COOK THE DISCS IF I HAVE TO BRING THE CAR TO A QUICK STANDSTILL AND THE DISCS CAN'T COOL DOWN BECAUSE I'M STUCK IN TRAFFIC! BE PREPARED FOR AN UN-NERVING NOISE FROM THE BRAKES DUE TO THE GROOVES! ( THEY CREATE A SMALL AMOUNT OF VIBRATION ) HOPE THIS HELPS!

EBC pads
DO NOT GO FOR GREEN
THEY ARE FOR P106 SAXO ETC TOWN CARS WHICH GIVE OFF NO BRAKE DUST.
THEY WILL HEAT UP TO QUICK
GO FOR RED CERAMIC OR YELLOWS
CAMSPORT HAVE AN OFFER ON 66.55 FOR THE PADS
AND DISCOUNT ON THE PADS

Couldnt justify spending on grooved discs tho £165. My local motor factors do standard discs for £64 inc vat. So I can do a couple of pairs in and still have change for a few beers

I had the Redstuff on mine with drilled and grooved discs. Dreadful. Swopped to Green and found them slightly better than the red ones but never inspired me with any confidence. Ended up having to upgrade to 4 pots and 325mm discs.
In fairness I understand EBC now use a different compound to the ones that I tried 18 months ago or so but I won't ever go back to them.
