Wanted: 17" alloys for Impreza Turbo
#1
Hi
I am trying to obtain some 17" alloys for an Impreza Turbo (on an 'N' plate). Any information on new/used items would be appreciated ie: where is the best place to buy new or contact info on anyone who may have a set for sale.
I need 17" cos I've already got brand new 17" tyres.
Thanks
Email me please: simon.holt@williamsf1.com

Simon,
Have E-mailed you a couple of JPEGs of my `94 WRX. I am running 7 x 17 Kahn RS-Rs with, I think a 45mm offset. These also accomodate an STI brake upgrade with 297mm discs and 4 pot calipers, just in case you're thinking of sorting your brakes (supplied by Graham Goode Motors, Leics: 0116 244 0080).
Wheels supplied by Wheelmania in: Birmingham - 0121 722 2234
0121 688 8844
Sorry lost the no. for the Leicester branch, but it is located in Wigston, south Leics. Directory inquiries will help.
Don't know how much you want to spend, but mine were £820 for the set (4) and I think they suit the Scooby very well. Let me know what you get, and if you can send me some pics I'd be interested to see them.
Hope this helps,
Kevin,
Nottingham

Or, you could have a look at the O.Z Super Turismos available in white, blue, black, silver and Gold and in 2 diferring weights; gravel and track spec.
Remember these are motorsport wheels hence the dodgy colours available!!
As used by the Subaru WRC team.
£146.20 + VAT
Kind regards
Ben

The MIM weighs 10kg and a "run flat" spec SO2 weighs 9.5kg.
I'm not sure what a Subaru 16" set up weighs.
The MIM's are incredibly strong.

MIP,
A MY98/99 5 spoke wheel with Bridgestone 205/50-16 RE010 weighs 16.5Kg according to my bathroom scales! You should have seen the wifes face. A reasonable reduction in unsprung weight compared to a 17" MIM + S02. The tyre has about 3mm of tread so would be lighter than a new one. Approx 68 cubic inches worth of rubber lighter, if anyone knows the density figure of rubber, we can calculate the weight loss.
For aluminium alloy it is approx 46/47gms/cubic inch.
