Just worn out orginal potenzas on both gold and silver alloys ! Time for new tyres, have read past messages, was going for the toyo's but opinion seems to favour the goodyear f1s gsdo3, are these the best ?? Know any cheap suppliers ?
Cheers

I rang around a few local suppliers, and played 'em off aginst each other. Goodyears won, in my case, but Toyos are rated on here too. Concensus seems to be that the Goodyears shade it in the wet.

Be careful abt buying on the web, cheap. You have to get 'em fitted, and larger sizes are NOT easy to fit, and need careful fitting. Better to pay a bit more and get 'em fitted free and done properly IMHO.

I have Goodyear GSD3 on MY02 17'wheels. Certainly better than the Mitchlin Pilot Sport I had before. Could still be better in my opinion though.
I bought 4 Goodyears on the web which were a lot cheaper. Paid local Subaru dealer to fit them for £12 per wheel. Still saved a fortune even after the fitting and balance etc.
Check out www.mytyres.co.uk
Good luck.

Had a quote of £380 for 4 Goodyear F1's fitted, balanced etc. from the local KwikFit.
Standard 205/50/16s fitment for MY99.

Sound ok?

Put them on the Silver, and I will take care of the Gold ones for you.. :-)

I am just having some more F1`s having fitted to replace two which are worn after fitting last year. A great tyre in wet and dry IMHO, so you should be please with the result.

I'm in a similar position. Both are rated yet both have disappointed some people like the soft side walls on the Good years etc. I'm going for the Toyo's.
