Was coming to the end (luckily) of a dual carriageway the other day when my drivers side front tyre went.
Looks like both front tyres had been rubbing on something coz there was a deep groove along the inside of the tyre wall.
After taking it to a tyre place they checked the tracking and it was out quite a bit, but wouldn't have thought it would damage the tyre that badly.
Spoke to a mechanic who said sometimes the wheels can turn more than they should if you take sharp corners at high speed. I often take roundabouts pretty quicky, even mini roundabouts, so could this be the problem?
If not would bad tracking wear a tyre so much that it punctures??
Any suggestions appreciated,
Mark.
