Wheel Hub the same?
Hi all,
Bit of an urgent question. I 'bumped' my Impreza WRX blobeye against a curb (passenger side rear) and the wheel has a bad camber.
I've looked every where for a new wheel hub to replace my current one but I can only find the same hubs from hawkeyes and bugeyes.
So my question is, will either the hawkeye or bugeye wheel hub fit the blobeye? Before I order one.
Any help much appreciated.
Cheers.

Are you sure its the hub and not one of the components holding it all in place.
If it is a hub you need then you will need one that is r160 with abs.

For newage WRX (MY01-07) rear LH "Knuckle" current part number is 28419FE011 - Different for STI

Maybe worth enquiring about their "easyfit" kits

Cheers for the reply. So you're right the control arm and shock have also gone but they are fairly easy to find. It's the hub which is a killer to find. A lot of the parts I'm seeing online don't have a product code (e.g. r160) They just refer to the car. Would you know if the blob shares the same with the hawkeye and bugeye as they seem to be listed like that...

If you're buying second hand and hoping not to replace the wheel bearing make sure you buy from a WRX as the brake fitting is different for the WRX to all other models. Lesser models like the GX and R use different caliper bolt spacing although that can be got around with adapters. You need to split the bearing to replace the backplate if you get the wrong one. STI hubs just won't work. The handbrake is too big and the spline for the driveshaft is too big. The bearing is also much larger so you can't even fit the WRX backplates.

Cheers, so you're right - it's not only the wheel hub but the shock and lower control arm too. Would you happen to know if the blobeye wheel hub is the same as the bug and hawk - providing it's both from a WRX.

very common to bend rear hub / uprights if you hit them side onto a kerb on ice, etc..........common give away is nothing to find apart from a camber change into positive for the rear wheel
have replaced many over the years

I'd echo this. The knuckles are very sturdy cast items so I'd be amazed if you've managed to damage one without completely destroying something else in the suspension.

Exactly what happened...on ice and side on into a kerb pretty hard. Gives me trauma just thinking about it, lol.

From what I have found online it seems the same part can be used across models.
