Default new brakes fitted have an issue

Had a new set of Rear brake discs/pads fitted to my MY04 STi at a local garage however when I drove off could feel the brakes grabbing on. Ideas anyone ? Mechanics couldn't figure out the issue so i've left it there until tomorrow.. At first they thought it had been over tightened / adjusted but released it and on the ramp all 4 wheels were turning.
Once the alloys were re-fitted the rear near side wouldn't spin.

Check discs are correct for your model car.

Discs are right ones as were compared to the old ones taken off... Will get them to check handbrake / shoes etc.. Although were fine before replacing

I'm pretty sure they didn't touch the handbrake. Well not from inside the car anyway as i watched while they were replacing the discs.

Have a minute on YT on what they did and how the rear brakes work,
They had to "touch" the handbrake adjustment to fit them, if all they did was slide old discs off and new ones on then here lies the problem,
The rear handbrake adjustment needs "touching" in the car as you pull up a few times to balance the rear cables, or check it releases when off properly,
They are a pita at times, had recent experience with a mates car, not hard to sort on a ramp, will take a few seconds each side to sort for sure.

ive had "fun" with these before. Needs adjustment from the adjuster inside the disc and at the handbrake. Could also be the springs inside the disc too and the little collets that hold the shoe straight.

They adjusted from the inside of the discs and seems ok.. However now the rusty rear backing plates are making a noise

Mine were rusted away so bought some new ones before i fitted the brakes. You will need to press the hub out, fit the new part and then press the hub back on. The backing pates aren't that expensive
