Tyres, pretty horrible. Got almost unbearable by 5k. I changed to Toyo Proxes and the difference was incredible. I could actually let go of the steering wheel on motorways without fear of unintentionally changing lanes. Braking is also much more stable and predictable.
Geometry will help, but not as much as the tyres.
Cheers,
Simon

Fulham - I'd get your geo done ASAP, as this will make the biggest difference...
But it would seem the OE tyre after 5K plus does tend to get very tramliney (if there is such a word!)..
I moved to GoodYear F1s (GD02) on my '01 WRX and they were great even after 5K miles
I plan to do the same to my '02 GX, ie. get the TSL treatment (may be some springs too while I'm there) geo wise and some GY F1 (GD03) as soon as possible... trying hard to scrub the OE tyres on 17"s so I can change em with a valid reason.. ie. no tread

i'm still running standard Pzero on 18's. Tramlining was awful to begin with. Since having the Prodrive springs fitted, Tramlining has near disappeared, plus it handles a lot better.

I had the Pzero's on 18" wheels as well. Got horrible tramlining with these. I've since had the Eibach springs and geometry setup down by Powerstation. Still had the tramlining though, especially as the tyres got a bit older. Switched to S03s and no tramlining (plus better wet grip )

My MY01 used to tramiline like crazy, had the TSL geo done and it totally transformed it. At least it did till i ripped the edges off my P-zero's on a track day, now it has start to return.
Ah well new tyres it must be!
