I have a Cusco brake cylinder support bracket fitted to my 95 wrx. It was on the car when it came from Japan, so I can't say whether it makes a big difference or not.
All the info i've read about them suggests that they do improve brake feel, through reducing movement when the bulkhead flexes under hard braking???
Who knows....I've got one and my knowledge ends there LOL

Check the brakes section on http://www.powerengineering.co.uk/subaru/index.htm for a picture and description, costs £52.82.
I was reading something about these a while back and I think someone said that if you look at the cylinder when someone stands hard on the brake pedal you can see the bulk head flex! I have been thinking of getting one but haven't got round to it!
