SS Brembo / AP 4 pot on STi 7 ?

Despite Scoobysport low low prices which tempt us all, how can it be cheaper than moving something I already own ?
Pleased to hear about the new KAD based kits, but original question stands

How about just replacing your discs and pads? would be cheaper and give you good stopping power over the standard items (which are pretty good anyway) also would suggest that you try braided hoses (if not already fitted) and DOT 5.1 fluid.

Im talking about the STi7's a;ready fantastic brakes, so unless your putting 6pots on its not really going to be worth it (have you seen the size of the calipers on the STI7? )

Would I swap?
The Brembo's on the STi7 are big and are quite good. Braking ability is better than your Scoobysport 4 pot Brembos, but not by much.
That said, there are some known problems with the OE Brembo kit.
1) Its VERY heavy
2) Hard driving generates pad knock off (pedal goes very long, very unexpectedly!!)
3) Serious limitations on wheel choice due to caliper width.
If you could sell the OE Brembo's and your old 4 pot Brembo's, a 6 pot 330mm kit would offer better braking, no pad knock off, a substantial weight saving and a much greater choice of wheels.

Would I swap.... well yes I did.
Brembos are bloody heavy and bloody big. If you're happy with what you already have, then stick with it. If not and you want the best, then the sale of any of your kit will contribute towards something worthwhile like an AP Racing kit which has and continues to see off all pretenders to the crown.
There's a thread somewhere showing weight savings Etc. with the AP kit.
