Black Diamond = Rust free hubs?
Having had Brembos that took around a week to look as ugly as you like with rust all over the hubs, I would like to get discs that are able to maintain a rust free appearance on the hubs (and the top rim as well).
I believed that Black Diamonds are meant to be rust free but cannot find anything official on their website.
Anyone have any experience of using these please?

Thanks. I found hammerite good for the first 6 months and then just looked terrible after that, so wanting to go down a better applied route.
What is a 'black passivate coating'? Will it last the duration of the discs life? AS- I went to your website and it just says "coming soon".

I always paint the hub and vented edge black with high temperature stove paint - no problems - it does over time become contaminated with brake dust and grime - but it keeps the ugly appearance of rust at bay. Did this as I live by the coast, over a weekend where the car is not used, the friction surface would show light surface rust.
I think passivation is an plating technique using chromium or something similar - metal is plated rather than painted.

Thanks ASP, do you sell non grooved discs as I think insurance companies have a funny think about a few grooves appearing on discs. Im not too fussed as Im blown if I can tell the difference but they appear to think it makes the world of difference.
Also, what make is it that you sell?
