New Drillled & Grooved discs and pads for the scooby :)
My WRX brakes has a sticking piston so I have bought some new drilled & grooved discs and pads as the standard ones are crap.
I'm going to refurb the calipers with new seals and I am hoping to reuse the pistons if they are not pitted too bad
Also going to do the drop links and anti roll bar bushes too
Hope this pic works

I've done the same on my blob, refurbed the calipers with stainless pistons and fitted the same disks with Godspeed pads and braided hoses, makes a big difference. Make sure you paint the disk bells before fitting otherwise they'll rust in no time.
I've kept the old steel pistons as spares (all rust free with no pitting) just in case but doubt I'll ever need them, so if you need any let me know.

Hi mate ah that's good to know they are an improvement over the standard ones can't wait to get them fitted
I have today removed the calipers but not had a chance to take pistons out hope that's an easy enough job
Yeah will give them all a paint not sure what colour to do them yet though
Will let you know how bad my pistons are cheers for that

I was going to say, a tip for getting the pistons out easier is to pump the pedal with the pads removed this saves a lot of time later as the pistons will be half way out...
I painted the disc bells with etch primer then hi-temp black, see here for my brake build:

I have been trying to remove pistons most of the evening they were stuck solid I use an air compressor and most of them just popped straight out but 2 in either caliper were stuck and 4 of them were pitted quite bad
Please could you pm me a price for the pistons?
Very nice work you have done on the Scooby excellent write up and a big help the red and black looks very nice
Cheers for the link

Yep, none of the ones I removed had any permanent marks, just wiped clean. I would make sure you clean the caliper bores with very fine wet n dry and treat with Kurust or similar. When I had my calipers powder coated they also applied an anti-corrosion treatment before the powder coat.

No problem, and you're welcome!
A little tip when re-building, use plenty of the grease supplied with the kit on the piston wall and O-ring but don't get any on the inside of the dust boot as when you put the boot rings/clips on, the boot will just slip off the bore lip and you'll have to degrease it to get it to grip! Thankfully I only did this on one, not all eight...

I bought them from ebay here is the link http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Impreza-WR...item45eb97bc12
They come with mintex pads not sure if they are any good but I was going to fit them as I have painted the disc bells and want them to cut a nice edge for me then fit a descent set of pads
